(More customer reviews)I purchased two of these 12pc kits + some extra rails and brackets to organize my gardening tools.Below are my pros and cons:
Pros:
- Very solid rails and brackets, the system seems very durable.
- The rails carry the weight of my line trimmer and a bicycle with no flex or bending
- Tool brackets are easy to install or move (flexible system)
- The cost was reasonable when compared with other garage organizer systems
- Rail mounting screws do not interfere with bracket placement
Cons:
- The existing screw holes for mounting the rail are NOT on 16" centers, they were on 15.5" centers.This means that if you start with the left hole perfectly aligned (middle of the stud) then the rightmost hole will NOT be on the stud at all!This results in a rail that could pull out of the drywall if anything heavy were to be placed on that side.If you start with the middle mounting hole centered on the stud then the left and right holes can connect to the stud if you slightly angle the mounting screws.This results in a very solid rail system.Bottom line: start with the -middle- mounting hole perfectly centered for optimal holding power on your rails.
- The 48" rail did not come with mounting screws.The system appeared to have been previously shipped to someone (missing shrink wrap, etc.) so I'm not sure if this is the fault of Amazon or KR Tools.Fortunately every bracket comes with 2 screws that are the same size as the rail screws so I had plenty of extras (brackets do not require screws when mounting on the rails)
