Proof against everyday shenanigans, but able to be clipped off absolutely necessary with a strong enough pair of pliers. The bright colours make it easier to pick out in a row of identical lockers. Perhaps not proof against a determined thief, but well-suited for everyday low-security purposes. Cheap, too.
