(More customer reviews)I selected this length over the 3.5 ft version because it's a little lighter (by 0.70 lbs.), and I don't need the extra length to go thru my wheels having the On Guard skewers installed.I was debating between this chain or spending double or more for a thick U-lock.Compared to other chain locks or heavy duty U-locks it felt lighter.Also, I'm able to wrap it around under my seat.Another positive is being able to snap and lock without the key with ease (disadvantage of U-locks).Although the Abus lock is not super heavy duty, it provides enough security and peace of mind for me to lock my bike in public places throughout Chicagoland (not in dark places).Overall, at $33 I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend it.Again, if you need more length go for the 3.5 ft version.
